Title: ElevateNex : NextGen HR System
Authors: Samaranayake, D O
Issue Date: 19-Jun-2025
Abstract: Abstract The ElevateNex – NextGen HR System aims to address the challenges of traditional HR practices in the digital age by developing an innovative, user-centered solution. Traditional manual processes for managing employee information, leave, and work time are often prone to inefficiencies, errors, and employee disengagement. This project introduces a comprehensive HR system leveraging advanced technologies such as Spring Boot for scalable backend services and React for an intuitive frontend interface, designed to streamline HR operations and enhance employee satisfaction. The system incorporates features like AI-powered chatbot assistance, self-service tools, and robust analytics to empower employees and HR administrators. It facilitates efficient management of tasks such as employee registration, leave tracking, skill and qualification updates, and work hours. Microservices architecture ensures modularity and scalability, while secure data handling, including encryption and role-based access control, protects sensitive employee information. The project adopts a Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology(Bondar, 2021), emphasizing iterative feedback and swift prototyping to align the system with user needs. Through rigorous testing strategies, including unit and integration testing, the solution ensures reliability and performance. The ElevateNex system aims to transform HR management by automating routine tasks, fostering employee engagement, and enabling organizations to adapt to evolving business demands, ensuring long-term sustainability and competitive advantage
