Then, creation of this multimedia based www application is solution for that problem. This www application not just informational site and it’s featured with multimedia and interactivity. User can search medicinal plant and view of plant multimedia galleries. Multimedia gallery included image/video and 3D view of plants. This feature couldn’t find any other similar www application. On the other hand, event calendar, email subscription and multilingual features added usability in this website. The Software design and development principles with multimedia web technologies used for this website creation. Such as WordPress, HTML5, CSS3, PHP, MySQL, Adobe creative suite, 3D studio Max and open source plug-ins. The CeylonHerb will bring indigenous medicine knowledge to digital world as a multimedia based multilingual application.
