Key significant benefit of this is time saving. Then passengers are not need to hang on at the ticket office to get tickets. This system will involve in using the technology of socket programming, SUN-One server, Internet Information Server (IIS), Data Communication and Oracle Database. Technology selection is mainly based on the company infrastructure, availability of skills and speed of development. The whole system is programmed in Java, Active Server Pages (ASP) and Oracle database Scripts, so most of the interfaces are web-enabled and it has a facility to run via Internet. Here, the mobile user end is simulated with Java class (sender) and Java servlet (receiver). Through this project most recent Internet technologies of Java and ASP are used. In the mean time, the great experience in project management, software engineering, Java programming, data communication concepts, Oracle Programming and ASP programming skills are gained.
