Title: E-Learning Module for Database Management Systems (Based on BIT Module IT2302 Part 1)

Abstract: E learning has become the most effective way of interactive learning in current education system which give an innovative approach to distance learning. It enhances teaching and learning experience with electronic and other technologies such as web, internet, intranet and multi media.Content development plays a major role in this innovative approach. This Individual Project is being conducting with the purpose to develop a SCORM compatible E Learning Module for the Database management System (IT2302)subject which is a compulsory module in second semester of first year in BIT external degree course. Since the scope is larger and time is not enough compared to the duration allocated, it is implementing as two parallel projects. This project comes in at this juncture to do the development and implementation work for the first half of the DBMS subject. The audience will be BIT students, Subject Matter Experts (SME), Professionals in various fields who have interest to study IT etc. The project aims to increase the efficiency of the BIT program by delivering contents through using instructional design methodologies. Lessons were designed to increase the user friendliness by including sound, animation and lesson tests. All the prepared lessons will be uploaded and delivered through a learning management system (LMS) located at UCSC. Testing is carried out to check whether we are doing right thing. Also evaluation will be doing to check the out come of the product match with the project objective.
