Abstract: Grand Peerless InfoTech is one of the leading company in the Grand Group, which is one of the most prominent Business Group with business interests in Sri Lanka, USA, Gulf, Australia and various other Countries. Peerless InfoTech is the IT Company which delivers cost effective business solutions, specializing in Supply Chain Management for Small to Medium Enterprises. The Company employees have to work late hours, in order to meet certain deadlines. Company provides transport and dinner on request. Currently they are doing this by filling an excel sheet and sending it to administrator department via email, but most of the emails are receiving after the cut-off time and some required information are missing. This will lead to delaying in supplying dinner and transport accurately, since the admin team needs to supply the request details to 3rd parties (caters and transport companies). Also company expends huge amount of money on unnecessary dinner and transport requests, since there is no proper tracking system. In addition to this, employees have huge concerns on faculties related to late hour’s works and proper approval process for current requests. To overcome the above problems design and develop Dinner and Transport management web based intranet system which contains functionalities such as create dinner and transport requests by submitting validated inputs, update, cancellation and withdrawals of Dinner and Transport requests. This system includes approval workflow in order to get the reporting manager’s approval and administrator department confirmation. Feedback modules implemented for capturing feedbacks of the provided services. Also it contains rich set of search/inquiry functionalities to inquire the request details and retrieve output in multiple formats. Apart from these, system has notification functionalities in order to notify the request status changes and feedback collection by sending emails. This product has been designed using Object oriented analysis and design approach and developed using ASP.net, Entity framework, SQL Server database and HTML, JavaScripts, JQuery libraries and cascading style sheets technologies. The developed system achieved all the anticipated benefits such as on time requests, validated Dinner and Transport requests, proper approval process, search/inquiry the data to use in decision making and verification, getting employee feedbacks. Finally this provides employee satisfaction and cut-off unnecessary expenditures.
