Title: Design & Implementation of a Web Based ERP Document & Trouble Ticket Management System for Jay Jay Lanka

Abstract: In this project, the main purpose was to provide a web based system solution for document management and for trouble ticket management at the department of “Management of Information Systems” in Jay Jay Lanka. The Jay Jay Lanka is a group of companies a leading baby wear manufacturer located in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh as well as India, which has a own software firm which customize & implement their Enterprise Resource Planning software system. Since users from different locations as well as development team from a different country are involved in this process, there was a lack of document management and there was a delay in handling trouble tickets. As a solution for this problem, the web based system is designed to manage documents related to the customized ERP system like, business requirement documents, change requests, SRS, delivery details, testing reports, server maintenance logs, system bugs, bug fixing details, user training manuals. Further the system was enhanced to update the trouble tickets and monitor the status of those in an effective manner. As a result of the system, Jay Jay Lanka got a well-structured file system that ensured easy access of files with security. As well as, a proper monitoring system of user complains on ERP system which leads to the improvement of the organization.
