Web based Student Registration and Administration System

Abstract

The Web based student registration and administration system has many functions that will make the institute’s work simple and efficient. This system allows user to register in online via a web browser without going to the institute in person. After the user has become a student of the institute, the student will get username and password to login to the system. Students are able to connect to the database via web browser and view their personal details and also edit the details which are allowed by the system. Lecturers who work in the institute also have the same privileges as student in addition to they allowed to insert their subject exam results. But only the exam department is allowed to view and publish all the results. Using the system the administrator is able to book computers for practical on behalf of a student and let the student to know the time slot and computer number for practical. The same method is applied to book lecture hall for lecturers. The system allows to communicate with students when a class cancelled by the lecturer or other purposes. It also allows generating several reports when necessary.
