Title: Mobile Banking A true mobile banking facility for the common mobile user
Authors: Idroos, A.M.
Issue Date: 24-Oct-2013
Abstract: The main objective of this project is to design and implement a mobile banking facility that will enable the standard mobile phone user to perform basic banking operations using the mobile phone The client is being developed using J2ME, and this will act as the client of a client server application. This client can be plugged into any of the existing servers of the bank. The reason that inspired me on this path is the non existence of true a mobile banking facility in Sri Lanka for standard mobile phone users. Existing mobile banking facilities support only high end portable devices like the Personal Digital Assistants (PDA) or is performed by SMS, Phone Call (Phone Banking) or WAP. This development uses J2ME, kSOAP and HTTPS for connection. The project has three main deliverables, J2ME client and a middleware that will be used to communicate between the J2ME client and the banks’ server and an administrative module to monitor activities of the Mobile Banking users.
