Ecommerce website for Sithumina Sathara (Pvt) Limited

Abstract

The main objective of this project is to analyze and design an E commerce web portal for Kidszone who sells baby products, which is owned by Sithumina Sathara (Pvt.) Limited with understanding of project stakeholders’ requirements. The main objective of developing this application is to reach to a larger customer base as well as to provide information for decision making. By providing an improved service to the customer, this application intends to achieve competitive advantage too. In order to develop the application a low cost strategy is used by using open source software such as Apache Server, free Content Management Software and MySQL database. The core business processes such as Shopping cart, Online payment and Stock Availability has been incorporated to the system and MIS reports, Customer registration and Administration functions has been inbuilt to the system. A test plan which consists of several test cases was used to test the system with few web tools. Evaluation of the system was mainly done by using the outcome of test cases and the results of user evaluation were helped to provide the customers an ecommerce site which is user friendly and having a good design.
