Title: Swan Image Presenter
Authors: Ramasinghe, T.S.
Issue Date: 23-Oct-2013
Abstract: Sometimes an individual may need to do a presentation using images with added effects. Computer users normally use various types of software available in the market to do presentations with images. However, there is no facility to add enough effects as they wish since they are limited to the facilities available in the software selected. On the other hand, someone may need to do more than one presentation using the same effects, but with a different set of images. In that case, we will have to create all these presentations one by one. In some instances, the computer will be locked when we are going to do a presentation. There is no other solution than waiting till the computer is unlocked. There are some other instances, where somebody wants to use Digital Picture Frames to do presentation. In this project, the main objective is to create different types of presentation templates using JavaFX. If an editor is available, then users can customize their presentations by selecting suitable templates, sounds and other effects. Further, users can select a directory which consists of various types of images which shoulde be used in the presentation. After the presentation is created, the user can save the presentation, and then it can be re-used for different sets of images by changing the images in the directory. This editor should be a plug-gable editor. Then the different modules can be added as different plugins. As the next step, Linux operating system should be customized to run without installing it and its size should be small (less than 100 MB). Its loading should speeded up by removing other component detection. JavaFX should be able to be executed inside this new OS. Unwanted libraries, components should be removed from the new OS. A thumb file should be created to run the presentation on the operating system automatically.
