National Savings Bank Employee Payee Tax System (N SBEPT System)

Abstract

NSB pay tax maintains currently not centralized After Implemented this centralize system has relieved all the branches from a great deal of their manual work such as computation of individual taxes, sending branch advices, year end reconciliation, preparation of T-10 forms etc. also now there is a uniformity in computation of the tax. The proposed system uses RDBMS concepts to store data in the computer, SQL for data manipulation and Informix 4GL language for developing software. The menu driven user interfaces in the new system is helpful to divert users to achieve a proper channel to complete the required process. The new system uses the existing hardware and software tools that are licensed to National Savings Bank. This is a multi-user system running on AIX operating system. Therefore expandability of the system can be managed easly. This project was based on structured systems analysis and design methods (SSADM). iii The data collection methods used in this project was interviews, observations and information surveys. Most of the projects develop in this country are limited to the documents or theoretical backgrounds. Therefore more concentration was given to the implementation side. In addition to the NSB Employee Payee Tax System design and implementation, NSB Medical payments and Bonus Payments and other payments area also considered
