Secure IDE with Multi-user Workspace for Cloud Computing (SaaS)

Abstract

Cloud computing is opening a new era of Internet that almost all the services that we can get through a personal computer or network of computers are available to user over the Internet only having a supported browser and without having a specific hardware or software. One of the most useful application service that we can provide as a cloud service is Cloud IDE (Integrated Development Environment). With a cloud IDE we can maintain a web based development environment with all the facilities that a normal IDE has. So it helps multiple users to work on the same project from different location without depending on a particular hardware, platform and software. Basically I plan to develop a web-based IDE for Java standalone application development. The main problem that involves with such an IDE is protecting the source from being accessed by the external people as well as the service provider. Purpose of this project is to create a Cloud IDE with multi-user workspace having a proper source code security.
