T Elections are the fundamental component of democracy. Elections provide a way for the people to choose their leaders or the representatives who can make the decisions on behalf of them to make the country a better place. Electronic voting is identified as a tool for making the electoral process more efficient, transparent and secure. Transparency and immutability features play the key roles in any system to gain the people’s trust about the system. Blockchain distributed ledger is recognized as a technology which can adapt the above features in a secure way. This study focuses on enabling transparency through post-voting verification using the Corda, permissioned distributed ledger framework. The system uses cryptographic techniques and secure protocols to guarantee the confidentiality and integrity of votes throughout the entire electoral cycle. Each vote is encrypted and securely stored inside the vault of the corda node, and the system generates a unique reference receipt for the voter. This receipt and the password which is used in the submission of the voting time serves as the mandatory elements in the post-voting verification process. This post-voting verification not only enhances public trust for the system but also validates the integrity of the electoral process. The proposed system will ensure the fair and transparent electoral process for better democracy.en_US
