dc.description.abstractWith the rise of population and ever-growing megacities, it is essential for the authorities to monitor the crowd movements. Controlling crowd or mass gatherings at special events such as entertainment events or sport events and places that are essential to the daily lifestyle of people such as airports, hospitals is essential in the modern day. In this thesis we present two methods based on human action detection and crowd density prediction to monitor crowd behaviour.en_US
