Issue Date: 22-Oct-2013
Abstract: Considering the everlasting desire of people to accomplish their goals in different contexts of life, planning and managing of time with available resources becomes a major challenge. Hence scheduling becomes one of the hottest topics that subjected to most researches. The application of scheduling depends on the nature of the problem domain and expected outcome. Scheduling, first limited to static nature but now expanding with its dynamic behavior is the main element of this project. The project does not attempt to redo any work carried out earlier but uses the end results of research works in the context of Dynamic Scheduling; Constraint Based Scheduling, Priority scheduling and Resource Optimization areas, when making decisions and applications. This project mainly attempts in discovering a mechanism to handle and schedule requests dynamically in the context of a service provider. The domain mainly consists of a service provider who provides services to customers by means of repairs, maintenance and regular services through mobile teams consists of Engineers, Mechanics etc. Project mainly engages in selecting suitable algorithm based on the nature, characteristics and mechanisms of the Scheduling against the problem domain features, the mapping of the algorithm in the problem domain and finally measuring appropriateness of application followed by the suggestions.
