Abstract: | The system was developed to facilitate achieving its vision as most of the companies in the same industry are using information system in day to day operations to make quality as well as timely and accurate decisions. So it is crucial for Cine Video store to gain the competitive advantage through Management Information by automating their manual system to be competitive with the other rivals in the market. The Information system for Cine video store is developed mainly to provide handling all the video store transaction to computerize. The system allows staff to do their day to day work, customers to search and borrow video movies, comedies, games, and so on and the manager to do his administration work of the store without help of the another staff. This system needs to be login as an Administrator or Staff. The developed system that will be able to add new customers, edit customer information, add rental, return a rent, rent or sell movies, rent or sell games, powerful searching facility, filtering the data, add new movie items, edit prices, edit previous transactions, issue refunds upon cancel a rent, accept payments, calculate late fees, reserve movies and much more. Also have the facility to create users and password to the system and change password for security. This system handles more than just the basics of renting and returning. An accurate account of the store’s performance and profitability, direct mail to overdue members, customer billing and handling employees of the store such as maintain employee details, allocate duty roster. This system is modelled by the Object Oriented Modelling Language calls Unified Modelling Language (UML) with the aid of the Diagrams and object oriented system approach is used to design the system. The UML cover all the stages of the system development using those diagrams including the implementation stages well. Accordingly, this system will be a total solution for the client to achieve its goals and objectives by managing Information strategically and accurately. |
