Recruitment Management System

Abstract

The system implemented in the final project is named as ‘Collab Infinite’. Collab Infinite addresses the problems in the recruitment and career development of the Information Technology industry. The objective of this project is to create a fully automated system for recruitment management and career development of IT university students and fresh graduates to land their first job. Collab is a web application developed to address this problem. Recruitment management and career development systems are very useful, especially when it is specifically created for the industry of Information Technology as there is a gap between demand and the supply of IT vacancies due to the mismatched skill set or lack of actual experience. Most of the time it is clearly proven that after finishing the degree, students are unable to find suitable jobs as they are not directed enough for the real industry. So, the directions and proper agents to connect to the system is much needed. Collab Infinite acts as a solution for the above problem by being the middle agent and the mediator. The system built in this study consists of 03 independent components according to the particular user type which are candidates, recruiters and admin users. Recruiters have 02 separate components which are company users and typical recruiters which come under a particular company. So the system has 03 different layouts which is selected after the login process. Company users can add as much as recruiters to the system according to the availability of their access codes. Then recruiters can post vacancies, add candidates and schedule and conduct interviews for candidates. Candidates can add a number of skills to their profiles, check for available vacancies and communicate with recruiters, etc. The first phase of the interviews are conducted through the system and the post first phase are announced via the system which is a special feature of Collab Infinite. This system has an attractive and user-friendly interface, so that it is easy for the users to use for the first time. Access codes acts as the source of revenue for the Collab Infinite System. Access codes are sold by the system. But the candidates are free to use the full features and benefits of the system. The system will be hosted in the cloud as 03 separate components which are database, APIs and frontend (web layer). We are able to demonstrate in this project that Collab Infinite significantly improves the efficiency and effectiveness of recruitment of candidates in the Software Industry. So that it will provide a good service by contributing a tremendous number of features to the recruitment of the Information Technology industry.
