dc.description.abstract | The aim of the project is to facilitate a web portal which caters to tourism industry in Sri Lanka which is geared up with most possible features available up to date. Lack of centralized information on “Tourism Industry” in a web format is a significant fact when it comes to a comparison of local web portals against global. This solution will solve this problem enabling all information access within a single domain by ensuring that, this site will contain every single piece of information that is needed by any tourist. The great demand for a web portal which contains centralized information became the motivational factor for this project. Hence a centralized web portal that consists of all necessary information and tools that a potential tourist might need is proposed as a solution. To achieve this goal a solution is proposed to have a content management system based web portal with relevant plugins installed and customized to deliver what is identified as core requirements with supporting tools. With a comprehensive background study and proceeding to development as planned, a web portal which meets set objectives is available as an outcome of this attempt which serves the cause “Help tourism industry in Sri Lanka”. | en_US |
