Web Based SatelliteTV Fixing Management System

Abstract

“Srisat services” is a satellite TV service provider. All of the activities of this service providers are currently functioning as a manual system. To keep the records, they use ledgers to maintain customer’s and technician’s details. Any people want to get a technician support he/she has to go to the shop or make a call. The main problem for technician is find the customer’s residence. It takes more time. The web based “Satellite TV Fixing Management System” (WSFM) is built to overcome some of the problems and inefficiencies of the current manual system. This solution is built in a way to cover the overall administration processes of the Sri Sat services, such as: assign viewing card number for new connection, Technician’s repair cost estimation approval, adding new tv, adding new package, add new technician and Report Generation. Further, the best part is the web-based system makes it possible to monitor the srisat services processes from any location. The proposed system is designed in php7 as front end and MS-SQL Server as the back end. AdminLTE framework is used for the developing framework. The graphical interface designed for this project makes it easy for users to interact with the system and get information that he or she requires. The database design is designed to include large amount of data which is managed in an efficient manner. These exclusive properties of the proposed system make it better than the existing system. Addition to these major technologies, this system used other effective technologies like Bootstrap, Data tables, Twilio SMS System also. This system capable to generate various type of reports which are most important to the management level admin to take decisions. Just the viewing card number of the customer is enough to know that customer’s whole history such as past recharge details, repair complaints and solutions. This system was successfully verified and validated by the various types of testing that including unit testing, integration testing, system testing, acceptance testing and usability testing. And the testing results are used to the improvements of the system.
