In this project, transport Management System was successfully developed for the transport division of the National Savings Bank. The system reduces most of the inefficiencies at this department. For example, assign of drivers and vehicles for transport request is facilitated by this system and is thus easier for the department heads . As a benefit of this system, management can keep track of all vehicles, drivers, employees , customers and transport schedule details. The customer can be able to make reservations , cancelations and track the vehicle’s location. Any changes to the schedule request due to unforeseen circumstance s such as accidents, bad weather, driver unavailability is easily done through the system and is automatically communicated to the relevant patients through SMS messages. Since each passenger is given a specific start time, they could come shortly before that time without waiting much time. Once they start the tour, they are put on a monitoring scree n to be monitored by the department. Each driver will be getting a SMS message to let the next passenger’s details in the FIFO queue and destinations needs to meet. If it is a package delivery , then SMS message contain delivery note number. The system was implemented using eclipse and MySQL and has been successfully tested and implement by the client.en_US
