ASSET MANAGEMENT & VEHICLE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR FONTERRA BRANDS LANKA (PVT) LTD

Abstract

Asset Management and Vehicle management is one aspects of business that enhance company performance. Fonterra Brands Lanka (Pvt) Ltd uses manual Asset Management System (Excel Based) which have caused data inconsistencies, difficulty in creating reports on time to take accurate managerial decisions as well as controlling activities. The Objective of the project is to develop a computerized information system to manage Asset and Vehicle management to reduce their manual work as well as produce reports on time to for efficient and effective decision making. A comprehensive requirement gathering was conducted using interviews and observation. Three and two-tier architecture used as system architecture. Windows based application is developed with C#.net programming language to achieve the system Objectives. Test case are designed executed and recorded the test result to evaluate the system outcomes. As a conclusion this Asset and Vehicle management system is designed and implemented to gain the benefits as expected of the organization. By using this system business can manage their information in proper manner and Admin and transport clerk can provide better service to employees without any delay. The system is cover comprehensive areas such as issue log maintaining, sending email alerts to respective users reminding their outs standing task and system allow to send some emails through system itself, etc.
