Tool for DB Mapping

Abstract

The purpose of the project is to design database mapping tool for Humetrica AS which will allow them to automate their data preparation and data mapping process. Currently data mapping and preparation is done on manual basis and it’s a very time consuming process which steels Humetrica’s staff productive time. Not only that but also it’s very difficult to achieve 100% accuracy through manual process. One of the beauties of Tool for DB mapping component is it allows user to get ready with large number of records for data analysis with 100% accuracy. Humetrica AS is a well establish Norwegian company which is in to human resource and consultancy business. Humetrica AS core business deals with data analysis and consultancy based on derived information. Using DB Mapping tool Humetrica can automate their data preparation and mapping process as a result they can save more than 50% time on data preparation and mapping. DB mapping component is developed as a web based tool using three tier architecture model. Project is developed on .net framework, c#.net and MSSQL. SCRUM one of agile project management tool was used for requirement capturing, planning and for the time estimation. At the end of the project testing was conducted and the results are discussed in this documentation.
