Examination Management System for Kelaniya University

Abstract

This project is focused on creating a web based Examination Management System. This is an automated examination details management system for Examination Branch of University of Kelaniya. The manual method was found to be tedious, especially when carried out for a large number of postgraduate students from different postgraduate programs, this makes the entire process time-consuming and error prone. There will be a separate system module which is carried out by the Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Kelaniya. Examination Management System will be another separate system module for Examination Branch in University of Kelaniya which was proposed and developed. As per the client request both modules will share the same student data and system will only consider on postgraduate students. Solution which was implemented will be much more helpful to both students and the university staff to make their examination process efficient. Implemented solution facilitates important functions such as examination results sheets, exam timetables, admission forms, exam registration details etc. for admin users. Students has facility to fill exam applications online, generate the admission form, view examination timetable and view the results through the system. All the records are maintaining within a single database and all documentation has automated through implemented solution.
