Information Management System for Masha Office Automation

Abstract

Masha Office Automation is a private business organization whose basic business operations are selling and repairing the office automation equipment, configure CCTV systems and configuring intercom phone systems. At the previous, Masha Office Automation had used a manual system to handle their business operations. It was inefficient due to increase in client base and operations which were provided by the organization. One of the major problems faced by the client was the time consuming nature of these operations. Therefore important goals of the project were to provide an effective and efficient working environment for the employees of the organization and provide satisfactory service to the customers. To perform the above task in efficiently, the system was adapted to a web based information management system. It was followed the Model View Controller (MVC) architecture on the Codeigniter framework. Apache was used as the web server, thus the MySql was used as the Database Management System. According to the stated goals, the system has been executed the stock management functions, human resource management functions, transaction handling functions, report generation functions, etc. Implemented system was useful to achieve the stated goals through a web based system environment. It was provided to the managers and the staff members of the organization to handle the organizational data in a proper manner. Thus it provided customers a pleasant experience as they involved with the organization. At the end of the project a web based information management system was hosted on the server and deployed to the business environment to overcome the obstacles which were identified during the business analysis.
