Title: MULTIPLE RESTAURANT FOOD ORDERING & DELIVERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR DRAGOON DIGITAL ART LAIR
Authors: Fernando, R. P. L.
Issue Date: 2017
Abstract: Abstract Dragoon Digital Art Lair is a branding company that supports growth of small and medium sized businesses. And they have identified that there is a competitive advantage to restaurants with home delivery service compared to those without. These small and medium sized restaurants cannot afford a delivery fleet because of the large capital involved. Therefore the client of this project is developing a delivery service infrastructure to support those restaurants. As the current available delivery management systems are targeted at single restaurants, they wanted to develop a custom software system. The system is planned to assist in the complete process from managing the infrastructure to the ordering and delivery process to the end customer. In order to develop this ordering and delivery management system, Rational Unified Process (RUP) was chosen as the process model as it supports the unclear requirements present in the system as well as Object Oriented Development (OOD). As this system is an online web based system, PHP was chosen as the language along with a MySQL database system. The system is planned to be run on Linux server with Apache web server software. Development tools such as Sublime Text, NetBeans IDE, WAMP software and MySQLWorkbench was chosen for the project implementation. The final objective of the system is to provide an interface between the restaurants and end customers while supporting the management and administration of the whole infrastructure.
