Web Based School Health Survey and Medical Inspection Management System For Medical Officer of Health Office, Kopay

Abstract

ABSTRACT Health is wealth is the famous proverb. It is truly said for the human beings. Everyone wants to be a healthy person. MOH offices are providing there health services to the community. Head of this office is Medical Officer of Health. In this organization some persons are working such as Supervisory public health inspector, public health inspector, Supervisory public health midwives. Public health inspector is primarily responsible for environmental sanitation, school health work and the control communicable disease .They are providing lot of services but all are in manually. Mostly they are doing field work, so they have to go to every place to take health details and maintain all details in hard copy formats. So they are facing lot of problem to maintain all details for longtime manually, retrieving data immediately, generating monthly and quarterly reports, and couldn‟t finish their works on time. So they want to computerize their works by using the system. Through this system they have got lot of facilities such as keep students records like height, weight, BMI, nutritional problems, health defect, all the students details who have health defects and actions which are taken for identified defects, details of school health activities during month, health promotion and educational programs, summary of no of student‟s details, details about immunization, provided treatments and followup, information on health promoting school, no of teachers, physical environment of school, health promoting unit, dental clinic, toilet facilities, water supply, waste management, school premises, school canteen, preparation of mid-day meals, school kitchen, hostel facilities and health promotions. This system provides the daily and monthly reports on every activity which are doing in schools and generate area wise reports and can find yearly reports which convey the details about school activities to MOH. So this system was developed to reduce their workload and giving their excellent and efficient service to the people. To develop this system some technologies were used such as the UML is used to sketch the blueprints. The object oriented system design is used to design the system. PHP is used as the development language of the system implementation and Apache server is used as local server. Handling the database of the system is carried out using the MYSQL. The system was designed to fulfill the requirements of the administration and staff of the MOH office.
