Abstract: Abstract Rising Logistics is a growing Spare Parts provider in the Sri Lankan market. With the ongoing expansion Rising Logistics cannot carry out their Employee’s leaves and Employee details in physical papers anymore and they want a process to manage those day to day issues. In order to overcome those problems, they encounter daily, essential need of an Employee Management System developed by aiding the Information Technology. This Employee Management System will save their time and increase the efficiency of their work. The Employee Management System solution will cover an area of recruiting employees, leave calculation, KPI (Key Performance Indicator) management, employee review management, add candidates, create users, viewing user logs and other similar functions. This will overcome the customer’s current struggle to manage employee information and leave management. The proposed solution was a Web-Based application and hosted locally in the Rising Logistics – Head office. The system developed within the Object-Oriented Paradigm and the requirements analysis and design aspects of the system took the advantage of the Unified Modelling Language Behavioral Diagrams. The system developed using Open Source technologies such as PHP 5.4, jQuery Framework, cascade styling sheets and MySQL 5.0 as the database development for the system. All the above-mentioned tools were operating system independent, therefore it was a big advantage since these tools are working in Windows well as Linux systems. The Employee management system created according to the user requirements of Rising Logistics management, likewise Rising Logistics achieved their targets in future with the help of this system.
