Reservation and Communication System for Asian Adventures Travel Management Company (pvt) Ltd

Abstract

This project is designed for a Travel Management company which is reputed inbound and outbound travel company in Sri Lanka. The aim of the project is to develop reliable and effective reservation and communication network system for the Head office and long distance Branch office. It includes virtual private network with data and voice, IP based communication system and application software for their reservation system. Cost effectiveness and use existing resources of the client for the development are main goals of this project with achieving functionality, reliability, highly availability and user friendliness. System development has been achieved by using existing hardware and software resources and open source software. Existing Windows servers, Elastix IP PBX software, PHP and MySQL have been used as main component packages of this development. IP based communication system has been implemented using Elastix IP PBX software when virtual private network and local area network system have been implemented using Microsoft Windows based applications. PHP and MySQL are the main development components of web based reservation system and it is available for main office and long distance branch office via VPN network.
