Abstract: In any of the businesses including restaurant management which involves customer care facilities, the success is mainly depends on the customer’s satisfaction because it affects both directly and indirectly for the care giver’s satisfaction too. Since the satisfaction of customer is the major determining factor it is worthwhile to implement a software application which has a dual function to improve both customer care and the restaurant management system. Even though currently available systems facilitate many functions in a traditional way they are lacking most of the expected functions of modern and new world customers. As the time is more valuable for the modern customers they demand strategies which involve less time consumption. Advantages of this proposed method over the existing restaurant management systems are numerous.Currently available systems do not indicate the nutritional value of the food items with their calorie amount. Since modern customers are restricting their diet according to their health needs it is beneficial to have such health information conveying system in order to facilitate food item selection as preferred. Therefore the proposed new system includes an attractive way of displaying and indicating nutritional value of the food item.Furthermore in currently available systems the delivering status with the location of food item is not indicated after ordering. But the modern customers are more comfortable and satisfied if they could know where the ordered food item is at a given time. In this proposed system customers are able to identify the order status of the food and the location of the food item if it is being delivered. In addition to that in the proposed system there are facilities to indicate the nutritional value of the food item. Therefore the proposed method has more advantages than the available methods of restaurant management system. By improving customer’s satisfaction they will attract more towards the restaurants where these facilities are provided and thereby automatically improves the restaurant management and economical status. This proposed system has advantages not only for the customers but also for the restaurant management itself by supporting to maintain organized data and facilitate immediate decision making when the need arises.
