Abstract: Pharmasoft pharmacy management system is a web based system which is implemented mainly focusing on small and medium scale pharmacies to minimize their issues that occur in day to day operations. Furthermore the system intends to increase the value of the business to gain the competitive advantages in the pharmaceutical industry. The system operates not only pharmaceutical drugs but also grocery items. Hence it is designed to identify and manage them accurately and easily for people who operate the system. The current process of the pharmacy engages mainly four actors. They are Pharmacy Administrator , Pharmacy Employees, Suppliers and Customers. The developed system has an ability to login as different user roles and perform their functions. Administrator role will create user role and users, generate reports for take managerial decisions, manage employees salary and leaves. Pharmacy employee mainly operate stocks maintenance, order management. Customers are the main asset of the business. So the system will reduce waiting time of the customers. They can check the availability of the items and order them. Quotations are generated from suppliers. Pharmacy employee can generate PO for that. In addition they can search items via expiry date. So items which will expire in near dates are noticed. They can view Prior to the designing the system, the background analysis has been carried out for the purpose of understanding the common features which consist of similar systems. It is essential to identify what are the different features can be seen in implemented system than similar systems. The system was developed using Code Igniter PHP framework and
