Online Visa Request, Process & Management System for Softlogic Destination (Pvt) Ltd

Abstract

Softlogic Destination (Pvt) Ltd is a company incorporated in Sri Lanka and managed by a team of qualified and highly skilled staff comprising efficient visa processing consultants with extensive resources and expertise at their disposal working together to provide excellence service of visa processing. They mainly focus and target on the people who will be travelled by the organizations or business companies for their day today organizational or business activities. Like most of the other established visa agent companies in Sri Lanka, this company is in the primitive stage in the technological perspective and there was not a proper mechanism to handle their business activities. Since the establishment of the company, all the information maintenance activities have manually done. When considering about their business processes, we can see that the information technology can make a huge impact to do their business activities more effective and efficient manner. This implemented system is a web application which adapted the MVC architecture with object oriented environment. The system is being developed using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 as the IDE and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 as the database server. All server side scripting is written in C#.net. Backend controllers, classes and model classes are written in C#.net and javascript and jquery were used to write client side scripts in .NET Framework. In addition to that online UML tool is being used to draw UML diagrams. The implemented system will facilitate for almost all business processes happening within the company and will help to maintain information integrity and up to date information. This system is based on the main two applications called agent application and the client application. Client application directly involves with the individual and business clients to apply visa online. Functionalities in the client application such as online payments, visa application process, and user manager component of business clients, user account manager facility and more other features that provided in the application will help to improve the quality of services provided by the agent. The facilities provided in agent application such as client payment manager, visa request manager, and client manager and provided other features will help to improve the productivity of the agent company. Report generating functionality will help to find new business opportunities and decision making activities in order to achieve organizational goals.
