Title: FOREIGN RECRUITMENT HANDLING SYSTEM

Abstract: Deshakthee Lanka Agencies is one of the most reputed foreign employment agency in Sri Lanka. At the moment more than 20000 customers have registered with the company. Every month they have interviews for new foreign employment seekers, conducted by foreign agents. Those interviews are held for 1-3 days and more than 2000 applicants come for those interviews. More than 50 foreign employment seekers are directly visiting the office per day. And also they are maintaining a small call center. As a result of these situations the total number of customers are increasing day by day. Because of it, employees encounter a lot of difficulties, specially in searching customer information and handling their documents. There is no proper system to manage transaction details of each customer. Those problems cause the customer to wait for a long period of time and sometimes to visit the agency several times a week. Existing system does not have the facility to maintain customer documents. In this international business, the passport is a key item in customer documentation, most of the time employees find it difficult to trace the passport of their customers. There must be a system to track down every collected passport and maintain the information of the particular customer’s passport. For the customers, the staff has to maintain hundreds of documents. There are 70 employees working in the company. In the existing attendance system employees cannot view their attendance history. By implementing this new system this problem was avoided. The management requires details of day today progress on the number of fresh registrations, process changes in applications, newly selected customers, daily expenses etc. When the members to top management are out of the country, decisions pending takes longer. In order to avoid such drawbacks there must be a system where the employees and the top management could have remote access out of the office and out of office hours. For that web base system is the best solution. Foreign Agents need update about their applications. Foreign agents need space to select and recruit persons who match their recruitments with access to job seeker’s educational and professional qualifications and experience etc. During this project there is a higher risk of requirement changing, so it is needed to use iterative development methodology. To achieve that goal Rational Unified Process (RUP) methodology used for analysis and design approach. This project is to develop web base Foreign Recruitment Handling system to give solution for current problems and provide reliable and fast service to foreign employment seekers (customers). This system uses PHP as main programming language, HTML and CSS as markup languages, MySQL for database, Java scripts and Apache server.
