Abstract: Present day, Throwing(or chucking) in cricket have become a major issue in the cricketing world. Many bowlers including high profile bowlers have been suspected and some of them have identified as illegal bowlers due to trowing. Some bowlers have remedied their actions after proved illegal, but their remedied action is not as effective as the one that is used to be.Several players which are part of the current Sri Lankan team has been suspected and some of their deliveries are found illegal. In Sri Lanka children start practising cricket from the age of ten averagely,Some start in even younger ages.Average Player in Sri Lanka joins the national team in age around twenty. So,a bowler have engaging in cricket nearly about ten years before they are selected for representing the national team. Therefore it seems once a bowler get used to a particular illegal bowling action which was undetected before he comes to the international level,it is very hard to remedy the action, even it remedied the bowler has proven not effective as he was. In the current context their is no technical evaluation for the school level or club level bowlers to know whether his action is illegal or not.Even in the players in the Sri lankan national squad are tested manually by a domain expert using 240fps cameras.Only the players in the national team are sent to India or Australia for testing because of the cost that has to be spend on a test This study tries to propose a resource constrain approach to identify throwing in school level and domestic level bowlers. This model propose a method to identify the action starting point of a bowler, Identifying the elbow angle during the action and finding the releasing point. This proposed method does not use the high speed cameras,It utilizes the spatial sensor data and EMG data to evaluate the legality of a bowling action.Experiments have been done using wearable Myo arm band which provides both EMG and Spatial data. This approach attracted the interest in local domain experts and with some extensions to the current approach, it is proven to be a promising beginning to address the issue in high level too
