Title: Library Management System for Loyola College

Abstract: Loyola College is a fast developing school in N egombo which has around 2,150 students on role and 105 members on t he staff. It has a library which can provide the service for all of these students. The functionalities of this library such as books lending and borrowing activities are handled manually with paper work. Using a Library Management System, their functiona lities can be handled in more efficient way. Allowing the members to check the library books status, updates and check the transaction information via online web portal can be an added advantage. Processes such as reminder generations, fine calculations ca n be more accurate than manual system. System service layer is developed using Java 7 and Eclipse Kepler is used as the IDE. AngularJs JavaScript framework is used to develop the system front - end and the IDE used for front - end development is Webstorm 9. M ySQL is used for database and the database design is done using MySQL Workbench. Apache server is used as the application server. At the end of this development process, the library management system which was tested by the users of the library was handed over to the client to continue their day to day processes .
