Online Operations Management System For Dispense Systems Technologies (PVT) Ltd

Abstract

Dispense Systems Technologies (PVT) Ltd is a well-known trading company which was started in 2008 as a small scale company and now it has become a leading company in Sri Lanka. This company has 2 main divisions namely Dispense Products and Dispense Services imports Cleaning and Hygiene solutions from Europe, maintain their stocks and distribute island wide. This is the only operating company in Sri Lanka in providing services for implementation and maintenance of automated Beer Machines and it currently imports about 20 chemicals. All the operations in this company are handled manually which is inefficient, less effective, loss of records and inconsistent documentation. Due to poor inventory handling they failed to recognize the items which are the slow moving items and which are the fast moving items. Hence it would lead to financial effects of the company. There is no proper way to monitor creditors and debtors therefore the company fails to collect their money on time. These problems indirectly effect to the organizational success. To overcome those problems, developing a web based intranet system is the best solution. This system covers Inventory management system, online order processing, Sales management, Payroll management, Service management, purchase management and Business reports. MVC architecture and object oriented techniques used for develop this system. PHP is the server side scripting language. UML diagrams are used to analyse and design the system.
