A secure file sharing system using anonymous networks and public communication channels

Abstract

Due to revolutionary development of World Wide Web, each person is connected to the Internet with or without their knowledge. Any individual can access to unlimited information and knowledge via Internet. The technology can be used for good of the man kind and against them as well. In that manner Information security is a critical subject for entire World Wide Web. The person who own and control this unlimited information and data, controls the world. Because of this, there is worldwide surveillance, eavesdropping programs and similar techniques are created and those programs breach the end user privacy and security. The Internet service providers which are bound to protect the end user privacy and security are violating them due to forces which are beyond their control. Due to this particular reason, it is our duty to implement personal security schemes which can achieve maximum security and privacy at a given point of time. The security and anonymity cannot be achieved using a single method or software. It is due to any software or method may contain set of own vulnerabilities. Due to this reason, end user must use combination of Internet community based security schemes, public communication channels and personal security schemes to achieve maximum privacy along with security. The proposed personal security schemes must depend on the current infrastructure which controlled by Internet service providers and it is impossible to detach entirely from it. In that manner, these personal security schemes required to implement personalized security measurements, techniques that do not depend on the current security standards such as certificate authorities. The current Internet community has designed and developed effective communication channels to overcome the above security and privacy violations. The main issue in solely depend on those techniques is, the particular communities may get compromised by authorities and use them as honey pots. In that manner, it is equally dangerous as depend on security provided by the Internet Service Providers. The proposed system is designed for file sharing combined with maximum security and anonymity using combination of public communication channels, Internet community security schemes and personal security measurements for file sharing.
