Examination Management System

Abstract

Presently all franchise universities and educational institutions follow traditional methods to prepare their examinations. Institutions sometimes submit a hard copy of drafted question papers to the examination department’s moderator to review and comment. Once the moderator completes the review, the commented draft question paper will be returned to the examination department and forwarded to the initiator for modification. These activities will continue until the moderator is satisfied with the drafted question paper and on the moderator satisfaction the finalized exam question paper will be handed over to the printing department for printing. These whole processes are a highly time consuming paper waste activities and require heavy physical strength on each and every person who is involved in this process. Institutions frequently conduct multiple exams and lecturers have to maintain a variety of exam question papers from one exam question paper to another in order to avoid repetition of questions from past year exam question papers further subject content, topic changes information are maintained manually in an unsecure manner. With the proposed system, creation of exam question paper, moderating and printing activities will be automated from the scratch, which will provide efficient, convenient, user friendly secure and in a very cost effective application. All institutions would be benefited via this automated system and it has an interactive user-friendly interface. It is flexible enough to cope up with the new changing trends and institutions can customize as per their requirements. The system provides an easy way in the selection of properties from a list of specifications of a particular type of an exam. Thus; with the proposed system lecturer/moderator/examination department/ printing department can handle their exam question papers in a convenient way in office or out.
