Web Based School Information Management System to the Harischandra National College

Abstract

The Web Based School Information Management System {WSIMS} described by this document. The WSIMS is an exceptional system for covering to specialized functional area in the WP/NE Harischandra National College. In the Harischandra National College, data gathering, data processing, data analyzing and decision-making take a lot of time consume process to doing manually. More teachers and school office staff man-power need to manipulate it. Report generating in the manual system is more complex and difficult. In the manual system, gathering information is more timeconsuming. Retrieving the student's information through the manual system is more difficult. To consider the situation, it has decided to develop an automated system, which helps teachers and school office staff in analyzing data and process information without difficulty. In the modern environment, the information is the key factor of succeeding of a school, to fulfill the above requirement. The principal wants the excellent tool for facilitating faster data gathering and acquire quick decision-making. The WSIMS allows collecting and analyzing more accurate and comprehensive information. The system provides capabilities for entering student records, teacher's records and managing many other school-related data need in a school. The system provides access to the student's records and gets the desired information, which may need. It analyzes the student's performance under various criteria (a major role in the student's improvement process). Other than the system provides to increase data accuracy, make school information management more secure, effective, convenient and accessible. And also this system helps to the teachers can get access from remote location through internet. The system offers valuable features enabled to follow the data in a flexible procedure and allows to compare performance. On the other hand, the above information need to consider control the operations of the report card preparation process with minimal effort. The system has using Object-Oriented concepts, designing process using UML diagrams.
