Abstract: In today’s society that is moving towards a more sedentary lifestyle, there is a greater need than ever to increase the daily activity level to maintain both cardiovascular fitness and body weight. Exercising does not have to be something boring and dreaded. It can be something that an individual enjoy that helps to increase the overall happiness in once life, as well as relieve symptoms of stress, depression and anxiety. The importance of physical fitness cannot be emphasized enough. In today’s society that is moving towards a more sedentary lifestyle, there is a greater need than ever to increase the daily activity level to maintain both cardiovascular fitness and body weight. However nowadays many people do not have a desire to gain knowledge about significance of performing physical fitness activities, how it affects the day to day living, how to improve physical fitness, how to choose appropriate physical fitness schedule according to personal physical conditions, Details about Food and Nutrition, Dieting plans and watching videos through only one web site. There are plenty of web sites containing about the physical fitness, but need improvements to reduce the drawbacks of those sites. The main drawback of existing web solutions is that user has to pay a high cost as the registration to the sites. And also each site is focusing on one or two module (Nutrition, workouts, dieting plans etc.), and does not focus on improving theory knowledge of the user. The eFitness web portal attempts to reduce the above mentioned drawbacks and develop, improve the physical fitness and the theory knowledge of the users’ via eLearning. In the proposed system the author thought of developing a system with facility to register as a member of the e-Fitness for those who would like to attend the fitness program. Once the user is registered as a member, system will create a user profile including their physical conditions too. Some of them include advices based on the users’ current fitness level, fitness schedules, diet advices and other facts and tips on leading a healthy life.
