Title: MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR TARANCE AUTO CARE KATUGASTHOTA

Abstract: Tarance Auto Care has been a newly opened vehicle service center and fastest growing company in Kandy. With the increase of vehicle population in Kandy the customer bases of Tarance auto care customers also have been increasing rapidly. So the manual business operations had been so difficult and it is being a drawback to grow up their business against to the competitors. This vehicle service center owes new machineries to provide so many services to the vehicles like Body wash, interior clean, wheel alignment, wheel balancing, headlight focusing etc. and highly skilled employees to operate them. And daily around 10 customers arrive to the service station. The service station has being managed with the manual file system. As a result the management has been facing so many problems like data inaccuracy, data redundancy and wrong decision making. The management system has been built to overcome the problems that are being occurring in the manual file system of this particular organization. This has been a solution which is being covering the entire management process in this service station such as: customer and vehicle detail management, employee detail management, stock management, supplier detail management, vehicle service detail management and specially for the customers, and also vehicle service date reservation and next service date reminder is being managed through a function call customer profile management. Object oriented analysis and design techniques and programming concepts are being used in order to develop the system. Visual studio 2008 as the IDE and coding has being done using the C# programming language while report generation has being done using the visual studio report generating tool. And also with MySQL has being used for database handling. In addition, Unified Modeling Language (UML) used to analyze and design in this project. This management system has being fulfilling client?s requirements successfully and the management techniques of this particular service station have been able to attract more customers towards their business and maximize their profit easily and efficiently in a very successful manner.
