School Management System For THE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL (TIS)

Abstract

THE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL (TIS) is a well-established international school which is managed by THE FINANCE COMPANY PLC (TFC). TIS provide a good English medium education for London and Local curriculums. To enhance the standard of the school TIS management wish to perform school activities in an effective way. They have understood that they are in a need of a computerized school management system to perform basic operations. These operations include student and staff registration, their information handling, storing attendance, storing term test results and certificate issuing to teachers and parents of students and many more. Until the very recent times the office was performing their tasks using the manual file based system, which was figured out to be the inefficient, time consuming, lack of robustness and redundancies of data. The management wishes to reach the highest position of standard by implementing new technologies and curriculums. Considering all these areas TIS management decided to gain the benefits of a computerized school management system. They wish that the new system provide them what they really want. The School Management System for The International School (TIS) has been implemented using visual studio 2010 as the IDE and SQL server 2008 as the database server. The coding of the system has been done using C# programming language.
