Inventory and Transaction Management System For Ransara Hardware

Abstract

Ransara Hardware is one of the famous construction hardware providers in Waliweriya was established in 1993.Currently the company supplies various types of construction tools, materials and electrical components. Therefore, hundreds of transactions are performed daily by manual methods that make lack of efficiency of sales transactions. The Inventory and Transaction Management System was built in order to overcome some of the problems and inefficiencies of the manual system. This system was created to control overall processes of the hardware like item details management, purchase, sales management, supplier details management, stock and employee details management. The system developed to suit for standalone environment and this solution supports for user privilege management, transactions (purchase and sales) management. By using this system, user could generate variety of reports such as Day End Reports, Transaction Details Reports. It would support for management to achieve their business goals and future business improvements by making most appropriate decision. This system would enable to control the accessibility of information relevant to the users who deal with this system & would ensure about the security of the information. The Inventory and Transaction Management System for Ransara Hardware(ITMSRH) was developed according to the Rational Unified process. This windows based solution was developed using technologies such as NetBeans, MySQL Workbench, MySQL Query Browser, MySQL Server 5.5, Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Visual Paradigm. The Object Oriented methodologies were used for this and as for the coding language Java was used. As for the report generation ireport were used.
