Title: Online Management System for Ideal Nursing Home Bandarawela

Abstract: IDEAL nursing home is one of the leading nursing home in Bandarawela. It was establish late 1980s and giving a good services to their customers and their employee as well. It started just for the purpose of clinical services, but now it has grown and picked a important place in the business market. At present, it has facilitated with Pharmacy, Laboratory, Scanning facility, X-ray and Optical. And in future, the centre looking forward to heighten the business through opening branches in as Weimada and Badulla. Currently the centre manages its day today endeavours manually. As a result, the administration faces numerous problems in the manual system like maintaining patients? details; maintaining patients? history: staff details; doctors? records; General reports; time scheduling for doctors and delay in decision making, due to unavailability of timely reports and information. Proposed system is expected to be used as an Online Management System which replaces the manual system to improve operational effectiveness to reduce costs, to reduce faults, to reduce time consumption and to enhance delivery of quality of care. And the propose system helps their future goals as well. The system will be automated some functions such as handling booking, maintaining doctors? details, maintaining staffs? details, maintaining patients? details and generating reports which help to take right decision at the right time. Online Management system has implemented using Rational Unified Process (RUP) Architecture. The system is a web based system as a result PHP using for the server side scripting, meanwhile Apache as the web server. At the same time MySQL is using to handle the database. The developed system has been properly tested to ensure the system meets the client requirements and ensures a good working system.
