The Star Fashion is one of the leading textiles for gents in Vavuniya. Therefore they had high competition in the textile industry, however they were fully dependent on manual based system for their day to day transactional and administrative works and to manage their business; therefore they were unable to optimize the available resources to the optimum level to achieve their business objectives. Therefore the computer based textile management System was developed to overcome the above mentioned inefficiencies because of the manual system. The computer based solution includes functionalities to help sales, purchasing, stock control and yearly, monthly, weekly and timely report generation. The system will also help to give an improved customer service to their customers. The Textile Management System is windows based and developed using Microsoft Visual Studio.Net 2008 and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition. This combination provides a high portability and user-friendliness. This system is also completely tested to guarantee a validated solution. The client is highly satisfied with the performance of the system since it fully satisfies the client s requirements, and is very helpful to perform their day to day business transactions in a timely manner, and to retrieve the information regarding their business activities through meaningful report generating functionality.en_US
