WEB BASED JOB HANDLING &JOB TRACKING SYSTEM FOR CRIMSON CS (PVT) LT

Abstract

This project focuses on Crimson CS Pvt Ltd. The main aims of this project are to study the difficulties faced by the Crimson CS Pvt Ltd. on their manual system, and to give them an IT based solution. The solution was named Web based Job handling & job tracking System for Crimson CS (Pvt) Ltd. It is a leading Advertising firm in Sri Lanka. It specializes in total branding solutions for a large range of clients from large FMCG multinationals to smaller local brands. The client already has a static web site. But currently doing all operations fully manual utilizing hand-written notes with manual filing systems and reminders. With the manual file system it take more time and effort to track each job. And also hard to identify marketing executives day to day works and hard to evaluate them. Currently customers have to upload design art works to 3rd party web sites or hand it over to the office. To increase efficiency of the company this Web Based Job Handling & Job Tracking System has been proposed and developed. This system provides web interface to place jobs through the system both by the customers and marketing executives. They can use a mobile device, laptop or desktop. They can upload the design ark work which is relevant to the job order. For manager level system provides Reports and statistical views for analysing, monitoring, planning and decision-making. Managers able to monitor marketing executive s day to day works, and their monthly sales achievements. So they can evaluate marketing team. Whole system running with real time transactions processing. In this system customer can track their hoardings locations on Google map. Open Source technologies used here and it caused to more advantages. System design approach is based on the software engineering practices and methods. All the design aspects were carefully analysed and composed to confirm with the Industry Standard. Development is carried out after design phase is completed. The design document is verified and reviewed before starting the development. Each module and functionalities specified in the designed document are implemented independently. This document explains thoroughly, the design approaches, programming techniques used, database development and hardware& software specifications.
