Canein Web Based Hotel Reservation System for Hotel Holiday Resort

Abstract

The Hotel Holiday Resort has been running on a manual system. Holiday Resort is newly established Hotel in Tissamaharama area. This was established for the local customers but latter on this hotel provided shade to the foreign customers too. Due to the incensement of the customer based the workload was high. So that it paved the way to inefficiency and time consuming. It was difficult to handle payment records, to analyse the all data, difficulty in cancelling a reservation and etc. Few goals of the project are two provide the users to make hotel reservation process more efficiency and to balance the time and also this system will give a hand in reducing the workload of the hotel. This hotel reservation system is a web based hotel reservation system. So it helps the both local and foreign customers to a reserve hotel rooms via internet. Not only that but also it will play a major role in increasing the productivity, generating the reports, handling the payments. This will be a great advantage for the hotel. Mostly modern open source tools and software are used in developing this web based system and also MVC architecture and the Object Oriented Techniques. The programming language which we use here is PHP and the web server is the Apache server. The database is handled by the MySQL. The most advantage thing of this system is it can be run in both Linux and Windows environment. After developing the system, it is subjecting to a test and it will be release as a high quality system.
