dc.description.abstractWeb based reservation system for Amalya Reach Holiday Resort, which would facilitate the management to establish effective and efficient reservation system using world- wide information technology. The system is developed as web based solution considering main goal of the system of providing facility to make online reservation customers anywhere in the world. The reservation system is designed considering basic requirements of Amalya Reach Holiday Resort. The system is able to facilitate visitors of the web site to make reservations online, make payments online, change reservations or cancel reservations with conditions. Also further provide real time information and process of managing reservation process to hotel staff. The system was designed and developed using object oriented methodologies and open source technologies. Ms Project used to create project plan and Ms Word used for documentation. Star UML has used to design UML diagrams.php has been used as development language. HTML and CSS has been used. In addition to that MYSQL used to Database management system. Also Apache web server used as web server. WAMP used as development server. NetBeans has used as development platform. Within this document it is explained how the developed software solution, how it would facilitated client s requirements, how improve efficiency and accuracy of reservation process. Basic requirement of the Amalya Reach Holiday Resort is fulfilled by the solution. Proposed modules of the system were developed successfully.en_US
