Abstract: PC Home private Limited is a leading computer shop situated in Veyangoda. Currently it is a rapidly growing company. They provide their customers with personal computers, laptops, mobile phones and computer accessories. But they do not have any computerize system to handle their day-to-day transactions. They do all their processes using a manual file based system. The proposed system enables to manage inventory and sales more easily. System was developed to run in a standalone environment. The proposed system also helps to manage their day-to-day transaction, customer details, supplier details, inventory details, products details, employee details etc... This solution also enables functions like tracking order management, user privilege management, transaction management (purchase and sales) and more. This system will provide variety of reports to the top level managements to help get them make more effective decisions. They can get day end reports, inventory details reports, employee reports, company reports etc... The Inventory and Sales Management System for PC Home private Limited is just another example where the existing manual system has been computerized to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of it without introducing any additional complexity to the end user. The proposed system follows MVC architecture & JAVA language with Object Oriented Techniques. OOAD was used for design phase as RUP was the process model that used in the proposed system. This windows based solution is going to be developed using technologies such as java, javaFX, MYSQL, Hibernate and jasper reports mainly. Finally, the system which has been proposed will help overcome problems existing in the manual system and provide an excellent solution for the inventory and sales management activities as expected by the management.
