Abstract: Paint raw material supplying plays a critical role in the paint manufacturing industry. At the present there is a big demand for the painting materials form the construction industry of the country, which has increased the demand for the painting row materials as well. But there are neither enough suppliers nor quality products in the market at present. This has created a good opportunity for the quality suppliers. Lanka Minerals & Chemicals (Pvt) Ltd is one of the leading paint powder suppliers in paint manufacturing industry of the country. They have the best image in the field as the first supplier of paint raw material among suppliers in Sri Lanka. They also have a large number of customers as well. The proposed Stock Maintain System will provide the best assistance to the business by eliminating inefficiencies and bottlenecks in their current system. It allows managing the inventory controlling and sales process particularly, which are the most critical business processes. The web based distributed environment of the proposed system will also expand its usability further. Object oriented analysis and designing methods have been used in analysis and designing phases. UML was used for the modelling process, Use case diagrams and class diagrams particularly Agro UML ,Ideas Modeler (Version 7.00) and Rational Rose tools were used in this purpose. MySQL workbench 6.0 CE used for database designing. The system has been implemented using ASP C# on the Dot NET 4.0 framework (User familiar with windows GUI). Visual Studio 2010 as the IDE, SQL server 2008 R2 was used as the database server. Visual Studio s own reporting tool has been used for the report generation. The proposed system would be helpful for Lanka Minerals & Chemicals in achieving their goals effectively and efficiently.
