Abstract: GBN Travels (also known as Global Business Network) is a medium size travel agency, which was started in 2003s; it is one of the famous travel agency in Colombo district, also having various customers around Sri Lanka. Mainly GBN Travels is focusing on Air Ticketing and Visa Arrangements, GBN is an IATA accredited travel agent, therefore They will be able to issue tickets for India, Europe and American countries, Other than ticketing most of the people are depending on GBN for Visa arrangements, because they can arrange Business, Tourist, Student and all the type of Visa to any country. It is a conventional office that handles over 50 customers per day and has a workforce of eight. Although the GBN has replaced several manual processes with some Off-the-Shelf software like Quick Book, the administration was facing problems with this kind of manually managed Stand-alone System like data redundancy, data inaccuracy and some errors in decision making because of the unavailability of the system anywhere. Also, this Off-the-Shelf are cannot be modified based on client's requirements, when using this kind of system staff may need to enter some additional information which are not relevant to the task, this will increase the time of processing one customer. To overcome this difficulty and provide an improved service to its customer GBN Travels was interested in developing a web-based system that makes possible to manage processes from any location and provide an interactive web interface for customer to obtain service from them. This website will act as a connecting medium between customers and staff, as a result Web Based Visa and Ticketing Management System (VTM) is developed using a progressive methodology. The Proposed system (VTM) is implemented using the object oriented PHP architecture based on Model View Controller (MVC) by using RUP technologies, initial web interface will deliver to the customer then another module will be developed properly. The system runs on WAMP and work on hosted PHP, Mysql installed servers. The System is accessible from all major browsers also supported mobile friendly version for leading mobile operating systems such as iOS, Android, windows phone
